RESIDENT CAMP is
the backbone and purpose of Hiram House, serving
approximately 500 children a summer. A majority
of these children are disadvantaged and come
from foster care, single parent and low-income
urban families. Sessions are 6 days long. All
campers ages 6-9 and female campers ages 10-13
live in log cabins centrally located to all camp facilities, while
male campers ages 10-13
live in platform tents in the woods. Staff members
live with and supervise campers throughout each session. Resident camp staff
are requested to stay on camp grounds at all times, except for pre-arranged
time-off, and to abide by curfew. All meals are provided, as is laundry
service.
 | DAY CAMP is another vital aspect of our camping program. Comprised mainly of children ages 6-11 from the surrounding communities, the program runs Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Every session the children participate in a pre-scheduled overnight so they too can experience the satisfaction and fun of rustic living.
JUNIOR DAY CAMP is our smallest program serving 5 and 6 year olds from the surrounding communities. Junior Day Camp is a closely supervised program, which runs Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
