Outdoor Education Progamming (School Camp)

The major objective of the Hiram House Camp Outdoor Education Program is to provide a creative, educational experience in the out-of-doors utilizing the resources of our natural surroundings.

In doing so, we will try to:

Safety is always paramount in all our programming. Hiram House provides certified staff specialists to direct certain activities, like archery, boating, climbing wall and others. The camp also has a health lodge for first aid and features a life flight helicopter landing site for transport to nearby area medical centers should the need arise.

The following is a sample list of some of the many classes we offer in our outdoor education program. Our professional staff works in close consultation with your faculty and staff to develop classes, programs, or schedules that suit your school's educational needs and meet Ohio Academic Content Standards. If there is a class that we haven't offered before that you'd like to see taught, please let us know and we'll create it! Three, four, or five day residential programs (with overnight stays), and daylong field trips for schools and educational groups are available.
